The digester is a widely used instrument in laboratories performing analysis for diversified applications, such as digestions in Kjeldahl process for protein determination and analysis in the environmental field.
Twenty programs with 4 temperature ramps are available for the simultaneous digestion of 6, 20, or 42 samples in test tubes of different dimensions (i.e., Ø 42 mm, 48 mm and 26 mm).

The digester DK6 is made up of a aluminum heating block that offers excellent thermal homogeneity, with a maximum wotking temperature of 450°C.
The block’s temperature is controlled by dedicated microprocessor electronics. The temperature probe does not require calibration since the electronic automatic calibrates the device every time is turned on. All of this makes it possible to obtain excellent test precision and repeatability.
DK 6 is provided with a wide range of options (temperature selections, programmable permanence time, “continuous” working mode availability) and with a visualization display which allows to set the desired values and to monitor the digestion progress.
In compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), the data referring to the tests being run can be sent to a printer or PC for storage.
DK 6 has a special tube and fume hood support system able to help cool the samples, make their treatment safer and save space.
In order to completely neutralize the fumes, DK 6 can be combined with the JP fume suction pump and with the SMS scrubber.
