Samples that must be subjected to calculation of
the raw fiber must have less than 1% fat content. If the fat content is greater than 1%, preliminary extraction using acetone, hexane or petroleum ether is required.
The COEX instrument was developed to quickly degrease the samples inside the crucibles that will be used on the FIWE 3 or FIWE 6 for consequent determination of raw fiber.
