The Dumas method, also known as the combustion method, is a primary method for Nitrogen, N/Protein, and Carbon determination ensuring fast results, ease of use, and safety. Dumas technique is validated by different international organizations: AOAC, AACC, ISO, DIN, ASBC, AOCS, OIV, etc.
The Dumas method is convenient in many aspects such as speed, safety, cleanliness, productivity, and cost per analysis. Since 2011 VELP has introduced N/protein and Carbon analyzers based upon this method along with dedicated consumables to optimize the analysis and ensure a maximized uptime of the analyzers.
