Innovation and local focus: our solutions to overcome uncertainty

Innovation and local focus: our solutions to overcome uncertainty
The innovation system in Monza and Brianza is characterized by the relevant role of businesses, with more than 300 companies in the area investing in R&D. Monza emerges as the second province in Lombardy in terms of business investment in R&D with more than 750 million euros, after the leader Milan, thus concentrating 19 percent of regional private spending.

Within this scenario, VELP has been confirmed, even in 2022, as part of the best 500 companies in the area.

Monza and Brianza's economic recovery, which began in the second half of 2020, has continued at a rapid pace during 2021 and 2022, despite the gradual deterioration of the environment due to the continuation of the pandemic, instability generated by the war in Ukraine, frictions in global supply chains, the rise in commodity prices led by energy products and accelerating inflation.

To globally compete and be profitable in such an unstable environment, VELP strongly focuses on strategies that rely on human resources and skills development, work organization and digitalization, R&D and innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency.
